Why is my business already here?
ContractorFinder compiles factual business information from official records and other permissible public sources.
What happens when I claim?
Start from your existing ContractorFinder profile. When available, its claim button opens the exact business page on listings.contractorfinder.com. Listings not yet connected show an availability message. A claim submission is a request; approval establishes supported profile-management access. Claiming is not license verification, a quality rating or an endorsement. Do not add the business again.
How does map placement work?
Directory presence and map presence are different. A map pin needs a confirmed business location, and after the introductory period it is kept by claimed listings. Claiming is free, and no payment affects map placement: buying an optional service neither earns nor keeps a pin, and claiming alone does not create one. Losing map placement does not remove your directory listing. Your profile shows any applicable claim deadline when claiming is available.
What can I change?
Approved claims provide the supported business/profile management access on the listings platform. Official license data comes from the issuing authority and cannot be edited by the business. Request corrections or street-address withholding through our correction route, with or without a claim. Changes on the listings platform do not automatically overwrite ContractorFinder's canonical records.
What is free?
Your basic listing and claiming are free. Optional paid services do not establish ownership or improve directory ranking. ContractorWebsites.ai is a separate, optional paid website and customer-management service run by the team behind ContractorFinder; buying it does not affect listing eligibility, ordering or claiming, and does not guarantee leads or rankings.
