An honest description of what exists today. Two of the three rows below cost nothing, and the paid row cannot currently be purchased — there is no working checkout. We would rather say that than sell something that does not work yet.

Being listed — free

Available now. Every published listing includes the business name, trade, general location, publicly available contact details, and the licence record with its issuing authority and the date we checked it. Unclaimed listings carry a notice saying the business has not endorsed the profile.

You are not charged to be listed, and you cannot pay to be removed from an accurate listing. Nobody has to pay anything to remain in the directory.

Claiming your listing — free

Available now for 3 of 28 listings; the other 25 are not connected to the listings platform yet and cannot be claimed online at any price. Claiming is handled on listings.contractorfinder.com and costs nothing. It confirms you manage the profile. It does not change licence information and is not an endorsement.

Local Spotlight — $29 per month, published but not purchasable

Not currently available. Our listings platform publishes a plan called Local Spotlight at $29 per month, with an annual option shown on its plan toggle. We are not selling it here: there is no checkout on this site, and the platform's own Upgrade Now button does not currently complete a purchase. Nothing can be billed today.

What it is intended to add is contractor-supplied profile content — a description, logo, photos, hours, a public email, and links. Treat every line of that as planned until you see it working.

The annual price is displayed on the platform's plan toggle but annual billing is not live. Treat it as published, not billable.

Promoted placement — not built, not priced, not sold

Not currently available. No listing on this site is promoted or sponsored today, and ordering on state, city, and trade pages is alphabetical by business name. If we ever introduce paid placement, it will be labelled on the listing itself and governed by our advertising disclosure. We would only intend to offer it where a city or trade already lists enough businesses for a promoted slot to mean anything — that is an intention, not a mechanism that exists.

What money does not buy, on any plan

• Any change to licence number, classification, issuing authority, status, or check date.
• An endorsement, rating, certification, or recommendation.
• Removal or suppression of accurate information, including licensing problems.
• A better position in an alphabetical list.
• Faster connection of a not-yet-connected listing.

Open your profile page — search your business name on Find Contractors. If it shows a Claim this listing button you can claim it today, free. If it does not, it is not connected yet. Either way, For contractors explains what you can change.
